Into the Hearth

Poems - Volume 14

Into the Hearth Poetry Book

Into the Hearth Poems-Volume 14 by Wendy E. Slater is currently published. After a 20 year hiatus from writing poetry, 20 volumes of spiritual poetry were written starting during a trip to Scotland in 2001. This series of spiritual poetry awakens one to the Truth within as we walk the Path, the journey, and wake from the slumber of separation from parts of self and step into full union with self and divinity. The resulting self-forgiveness allows one to step forward in wholeness without the false archetype of perfection. When blame and self-judgement are transformed, healed, and cease to be, we have reawakened without the myth, “the mythos,” of separation. We are One.

Reviews for Into the Hearth
Poetry Book

This is a very dangerous book of songs. You will find yourself overwhelmed, engulfed, and swept away into the very inti-mate heart fire of Wendy Slater, the feminine heart fire of love, and in the end you will be left in ashes, totally in love without any object whatsoever, yearning for more John A. Into the Hearth, Poems-Volume 14 (The TRADUKA Wisdom Series) by Wendy E. Slater was a thought provoking read. At first I was unsure of TRADUKA but upon doing a research I was able to really grasp the poems and what the author was trying to say. The poems really touch deep into the soul. You can tell these poems are from journeys and experiences the author has been through. I read the entire book in one sitting. Her poems draw you in one after another. I would recommend certainly if you like poetry that is deep, honest and thought provoking poetry Melissa Robinson

Wendy Slater’s beautifully crafted verse moves from the pain of farewell to the excitement of arrival, in what may or may not be the ‘land of jasmine, gold and incense,’ but which she at least reaches ‘know/ Where I belong and who I am.’ Her evocations of the world’s beauty, from the familiar to the exotic, serve as a path leading to the inner world of the self, while travels reinforce the conviction that the most valuable excursions are those that lead into the heart, and the hearth, of truth. This book made me think, feel, and just pause at times to ponder life. I love the way Wendy writes, so honest and vulnerable. If this book was to have another title it would be “Heart Exposed” because it left me feeling raw and open in the best possible way. Clearly the author is doing what she was put here to do! Jody

Wendy E. Slater is that breed of poets who open our eyes, our hearts, and our minds with a warm arm around the shoulder, a sympathetic and empathetic delivery that instantly binds the reader to her. These poems, quite simply, are eloquent, not only because they are offered with a desire to invite us to join her on the path to enhanced perception of the world and our place in it, but also because she manages to infuse that sense of spiritual respect that is so often absent in contemporary poetry. The description of her intent (and result) is bracing and correct: ‘This series of spiritual poetry awakens one to the Truth within as we walk the Path, the journey, and wake from the slumber of separation from parts of self and step into full union with self and divinity. The resulting self-forgiveness allows one to step forward in wholeness without the false archetype of perfection. When blame and self-judgment are transformed, healed, and cease to be, we have reawakened without the myth, the mythos, of separation. We are One.’ Though one example of her poems is insufficient to offer the spectrum, at least the follow may give the reader a sense of style: 1405 Random nothingness and it’s all begun, Into the hearth, into the Belly of passion, not as An explosion, but as Magnetic stillness As the North Star Or meteorite in motion Eye finds without sight And scope In that instant, a fleeting part Of an arc, and it seems So immense, so auspiciously Random as it Comes into the core. These poems require quiet time to reconstruct our vision of life. The journey with Wendy is so very worthwhile. Grady Harp, October 15 Grady Harp
